Sleep Dank on Drake using Mac Dre’s “2 Hard 4 the Radio”

Sleep Dank gives his honest reaction to Drake performing Mac Dre’s Bay Area classic “2 Hard 4 the Radio” and breaks down why he believes there may be more behind the homage than simply showing love.
Sleep makes it clear that he appreciates an artist on Drake’s level continuing to shine a light on Mac Dre and bringing attention back to the Crest. At the same time, he questions whether repeatedly tapping into Mac Dre’s legacy also serves a larger business purpose by connecting Drake with the Bay Area and its loyal fanbase.
Sleep also explains what he believes could make the homage feel even more genuine — including involving Dubee and other people who were actually part of Mac Dre’s circle and the Romper Room.
Is it genuine homage, smart business, politics — or a little bit of everything? Was Drake's "2 Hard 4 the Radio" cover paying homage? 👇 Let me know what you think in the comments.
